Color Challenge




















This week's Color Challenge was Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo and Whisper White. I am really super happy with the finished product. I love color challenges because it gives me somewhere to start and then creativity seems to just take over!

I used our new stamp set Daisy Delight that comes out in our new 2017-2018 catalog on June 1st.
This is one stamp set that will be used a WHOLE bunch!

Dimensions:
  • Elegant Eggplant - 2 pieces
    • 8.5 x 5.5  scored and folded at 4.25
    • 5 x 3.75
  • Whisper White - 3 pieces
    • 2 pieces of 5.25 x 4 (1 for the inside of the card) 
    • 3.5 x 5 for the oval and sentiment
Ink: Island Indigo

I  cut the oval from our Stitched Shapes Framelits using the largest oval and I dry embossed the Elegant Eggplant piece with Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impression.

Instructions:

  • Cut your Elegant Eggplant and score it at 4.25 and fold it in half. Use your bone folder on the fold to get a crisp crease.
  • Cut your first two Whisper White pieces and adhere one to the front of the card and one on the inside.
  • Cut your 2nd piece of Elegant Eggplant, place it in the embossing folder and run it through your Big Shot. Adhere it to your card.
  • Stamp your flowers on the last piece of Whisper White cardstock and center them in the stitched oval framelit; run this through your Big Shot to cut it out.
  • With your remaining scrap of Whisper White cut the banner .5 x 2 inches. Stamp your sentiment. Snip the end of the banner if you wish.
  • Secure your oval and sentiment to the card using stampin dimensionals to pop it up.
